Have you ever been shopping and come across the perfect accessory, the perfect pair of shoes or something else that you absolutely had to have? The problem with fashion and the way things trend is that if you do not buy that perfect thing when you see it, you may be completely out of luck only a few days later.

Getting That Perfect Fashion Accessory

One of the best courses of action here is to find a way to make that purchase now, while you are staring at that desired fashion accessory, so that you do not end up heartbroken in a day or two when you return with the cash, but the item is sold out for the season.

Consider having an emergency fund in place to help you with purchases like this. This would be a fund that you could tap into any time you needed to make a purchase on the fly, but you would want to pay it back as soon as possible so that it’s available for you next time.

Consider having a prepaid card for such a purpose. A reach prepaid card, for example, will allow you to make the purchases that you need when you need to make them, and then you can just load more money onto the prepaid card to replenish the account.

Being prepared is one of the best things that you can do to make sure that you are never kept apart from a fashion item that you really want. With the speed at which fashion trends change, you really cannot wait if you see something that you really love.

Are you loving the new clothing lines coming out for the new season? For those that love having the latest fashion, there are numerous ways that you can make the most of it. Take into consideration how you look. Do you need an update? Perhaps you just need to fit into some new clothing.

Tips to Help Your Style

For those who love fashion but may not have the time to invest in learning the latest styles, head to the mall. Get your Reach prepaid card out, fill it up with money and hit the shops. But, when you do, know what to look for. It may be easier than you think.

Know what seasonable fashion is. In other words, realize that new lines of clothing come out around the seasons. Be in the know about the latest trends as they come out.

Be sure to fully know what your options are. If you stay up to date on the fashion news, be sure to watch your favorite designers. They are happy to help you to know what is happening next in the fashion world.

Always wear what you like. In other words, fashion is not just about what the magazines and the runways say. It is about what you like, too.

Take the time to choose clothing options that fit your body well. Be sure you feel comfortable in it. Doing so will help change the way you look at clothing going forward. Invest time in fashion. It will boost your self esteem.

Winter is finally over and here’s hoping Spring will be as bright as the colors for this season’s fashion line. Yellows of varying shades (from muted to neon), bright blues, and coral heated up the runways during Fashion week. White and soft gray were also two colors that contrasted well with the more noticeable shades. It’s all about mixing and matching this season. Mix a coral skirt with a purple top and matching shoes, and you are ready to face the day. Choose a certain color as your statement piece- pair a white top with slate grey pants and royal blue high heels. Floral prints made an impact. Some designers used it in small scattered patterns across a shirt, whie others used a bigger floral design on a knee length dress. Honeysuckle pink was the favorite for spring collection and looks beautiful on any woman on screen, regardless of what wireless broadband you are using or the resolution of your monitor.

What’s best about this Spring trend is the colors match any skin tone. No matter if you’re black, white, brown or olive, these powerful hues make a bold statement. Make a point when mixing colors to put the shade that complements you the most nearer to your face. For instance, if you have a light brown complexion, a bright sea blue shirt would look fantastic paired with a more subdued mustard yellow skirt.

The colors this Spring have a very Mediteranean feel to them, part of its appeal as everyone likes dressing in such lively shades. Like the season, they represent vitality and brighter days ahead.

Style is without limits — a notion defined by ever-changing moods and interests, the patterns that flicker with the seasons. The sheer potential of fashion is its greatest attribute. It’s also, however, its greatest demand: forcing buyers to stumble through the process of choosing clothes that suit their needs, their desires and their budgets.

This is — of course — a challenge.

It’s one, however, that can be lessened: with individuals able to tailor their searches to convenience. Achieving the perfect style is possible. It simply demands recognition.

Shoppers must first be aware of their preferences. Studying media formats (such as films, television and magazines) is essential. This will spark inspiration, allowing buyers to discover trends in their choices — like colors, lengths, silhouettes and more.

Once such trends have been revealed, shoppers must then research the designers that create them: noting common prices, sizes and fabric choices. Some brands may be exclusive to specific stores; others may instead be found online (able to then be purchased with a Reach prepaid card). Investigating style is necessary to conquer it.

Achieving these steps ensures that all buyers understand fashion. Applying that understanding, however, is essential — with clothes sampled and scrutinized. Developing a sense of style is far more than choosing items that delight in pictures. It’s instead examining threads and seeing if they work for a shape. Not all designs will flatter. Avoiding them is imperative therefore: even as they may feature elements that please. Fit is the most vital condition. It can’t be ignored.

And it is through these suggestions that fashion becomes — finally — easy.

If you like to keep up with the seasons when it comes to fashion, then think about those pieces of clothing that will work all year round. By shopping for basic, timeless pieces, you can save money and look great from January to December.

The Core of Your Closet

All it takes is one sudden appearance by a fashion icon to turn the season’s fashions upside down. If you’re ready with core articles of clothing then you can jump right on the trend and be the style diva of your world. Think about those things that never change, like basic black skirts, classic white blouses, and neutral tees. With a few fast accessory changes, you’ll be brand new each season, or even from moment to moment.

Save your money for a few fun shoes, jewelery, and not-to-be missed seasonal articles of clothing. You don’t need much. You just need enough to look like the trend of the moment. If your budget is a concern, think about getting yourself a reach prepaid card. Load it to the greatest amount you want to spend, and when that money is gone, you can’t overspend. You refill the card at your discretion. It’s a great way to keep you clothing allowance in check.

A Few Fun and Timeless Accessories

There are a few accessories that seem to come in and out of fashion pretty fast, so buy them and keep them handy. Chuck Taylor’s will always make their way into the fashion scene. Pearls are timeless, and they’re starting to take on a more edgy media influence. Finally, hang onto your jeans! What is uncool today will be hot tomorrow. You’ll save money and be fashionable fast if you already own it.

It’s one of the most recognizable symbols in the world. The signature beige LV penmanship set against chestnut fabric that originally graced trunks in Paris. Louis Vuitton began creating luggage in 1854, branding them all with his logo. He was also the fist man to create the five key combination lock on his products. The security lock was part of his success as it made for much safer traveling. The sturdy, but stylish trunks made such a huge profit that he expanded his business in 1860 and continued to grow in fame. Upon Vuitton’s death, his son took over the business and really took the business to a higher level by trademarking the brand. LV was the first designer label ever sold and the fame behind the name has grown by leaps and bounds since then. The company has passed down from father to son for three generations. Louis Vuitton’s son, Georges, was the one to move the company in to the field of perfumes and accessories. When Georges died, his son took over and, in 1998, brought the successful company in to the high industry world of fashion and increase world wide user though website using KISSinsights analysis.

Since then, Vuitton has become a name everyone has heard and wealthy people have owned. With prices ranging from 80 dollars for a scarf up to thousands of dollars for a dress, it’s almost impossible for someone on a budget to even consider buying his products. Media has only added to his fame. His brands are seen in music videos, movies, on celebrities out and about town.

This powerhouse company is always at the forefront of the newest styles and fashion while carrying those infamous two letters: LV.

The term “full figured” is defined as a woman size 12 and higher. This also defines over half the female demographic in America. Most fashion stores don’t see sizes above a large in tops and a 14 in pants. The clothes designed for larger women are not nearly as attractive as the cutting edge designs and patterns done for skinnier women that grace the media today. Instead, the full figured clothes tend to be plain and unflattering. The colors are muted and do nothing to accentuate any beauty the woman has. It sends a message to big women everywhere that they should be doing more to attain the perfect body so they can start dressing with style instead of for comfort.

While there are some large women who revel in their “thickness” and like it, the majority of women are self conscious about their weight. Not being able to find high fashion clothes can send them into a deeper depression, possibly causing even more weight gain as a result. There are a few designers out now dedicated to creating a line of stylish clothing for plus size women. Monif C is a plus size clothing designer who recently spoke on the Tom Joyner morning show about the current issue of full figured women in social media and how their fashion suffers because of their weight. She believes the fashion industry should offer more choices to large women at an affordable price. It’s a well known fact the obesity rate in America is very high and children make up a big part of that percentage. Yet stylish clothes for teenagers, once again, stop at a size 13/14 and then go on to boring blue jeans and one toned color shirts.

Plus size stores and websites are popping up all over America, giving full figured women more options and confidence.

Perhaps the most universal accessory any time of the year is the scarf. The origin dates back to early Roman days when men and women carried around strips of cloth to wipe the sweat off their face and neck. Then, years later, the scarf showed up in the military- this time using different types of fabric to show rank. It wasn’t until the 19th century that the scarf became a style for both men and women in America. Sturdy wool scarves are worn during winter to battle the cold and come in a variety of patterns and colors. For those in warmer climates, scarves are more diaphanous and used for fashion rather than comfort.

Rich people tend to display their wealth by the scarves they buy. Silk is probably one of the most expensive fabrics so the product sells for a higher cost. In the past few years multi colored scarves, particularly bright shades, have graced the necks of women and men worldwide. If a designer prints his or her logo on the scarve, the price goes up tenfold just to flaunt the brand name. Media is a huge factor in this accessory’s life span. Celebrities are constantly seen with them and some have even made it their signature look. Hip Hop artist Jay-Z brought the simplicity of the long white scarf from the 20s era back in style for men. On the cover of one of his albums, he’s proudly wearing a full Al Capone outfit: a black and white pin stripe suit, fedora hat, and matching scarf. Guys across the world ran out to buy them.

Other cultures use variations of the scarf for practical uses. Women in the Caribbean may use a handkerchief to pull their hair back when working (a use women in other countries have adopted also). Married Jewish women must wear a black fabric across the bottom half of their face.

No matter what it’s used for, this fashion statement isn’t going anywhere.

Fashion has represented the people of that era for decades, from all the way back in the 1920s. As with many things in life like increasing online courses, fashion trends often come full circle at one point or another. The new Spring collections have strong influences from the 1970s with lots of bright patterns.

There are some styles that just never went out of fashion. Fedoras are still very popular hats to wear, a throwback to the roaring ’20s where they originated. Yet there are other fads that went away and clearly came back strong. A perfect example in the 80s with its fingerless gloves, graphic tees, and converse sneakers. If it sounds familiar, that’s because the 80s made a strong comeback a few years ago. Thankfully, some of that era’s style (like the huge shoulder pads) stayed in the past.

Women’s business suits still have influence from the 1930s, when women started to work during the depression era. The jackets were fitted and the skirts tight with a slit on the side or back.Slight changes have been made over the years with the style: more detail added to the back or a design woven along the seam. It’s a look that flatters almost any figure while keeping a professional image, which is probably why the style has lasted this long.

The past decade has been a mixture of previous styles instead of having its own unique style. Perhaps this is another reflection of the society we live in. America is fast becoming a melting pot of ethnicities and faiths. It’s not a surprise that fashion is doing the same. Peasant blouses from the 60s are mixed with skin tight pants from the 80s. Red lipstick that reigned back in the 20s is a huge seller now. Cover Girl actually gives pointers as to what particular shade of red to choose and the eye makeup to go with it.

It should be exciting to see how the fashion world will handle the return of an old 80s favorite: the MC Hammer pants.

Fashion trend colors tend to focus on specific types of color palettes. For this spring the color palettes are said to focus on vibrant colors and pastels that rejuvenate and excite individuals about the clothing. Some clothing and fabric designers see this spring’s colors as a way to uplift consumers through colors and provide an opportunity to uplift the spirit.

Each fabric company will most likely create their own individual color palette, however; the overall colors for the spring fashion trends will have several themes. Most of the colors are bright and energetic although some pastels are still present. Some palettes will still maintain earthy tones and some will mimic the beautiful colors of spring.

However, the actual colors are not the only focus. Some colors are more about the shimmer or shine of the fabric in a particular color rather than just the color itself in any fabric. The colors themselves contain many variations on purples, blues, teals, maroons, pinks, yellows, and some earth tones.

Finally, the spring colors are also influenced by the particular style they will be used with. For example, colors for the loungerie and leather looks are slightly darker than the other color palettes. Moreover, these colors provide a variety of pinks, purples, blues, teals, maroons, and silvers in rich and vibrant colors to make the style they will be used in.

Overall, color trends for this upcoming fashion season will demonstrate the bright, vibrant colors of spring while inspiring excitement and a new outlook on life.

What fashion look wouldn’t be complete without the perfect footwear? This season the current trends in footwear are a continued focus on clogs and the addition of the kitten heal.

Current clog fashion trends typically demonstrate a leather upper portion of the shoe with a wooden sole and a substantial heal similar to a Swedish style. However, not all clogs this season will have this same construction.

Some clogs will have lower heals, will be mixed with other footwear styles such as the clog with a shorter and smaller heal more common to a kitten heal, or may be constructed with different material for the upper portion of the shoe. Although these alternatives may not be traditional clogs, they definitely have a clog influence.

The second footwear trend for the new fashion trends is the return of the kitten heal shoe. This style was popular with the looks of the 50’s and 60’s and with the return of these styles in clothing fashion trends we are now seeing the return of the kitten heal in footwear as well.

This shoe incorporates a shorter heal such as 2 inches or lower and are narrow similar to a stiletto. The current fashion trend presents this footwear in earth tones or in grays and blacks. Additionally, the styles tend to be minimalist in nature or contain smaller and more feminine accents.

Fashion trends often affect every aspect of the overall look and footwear is no exception. The new addition of the kitten heals and continued focus on clogs goes along with the new focus on vintage looks. There are Fashion design online colleges that are key to success in the glamorous world of fashion.

Fashion trends typically include accessories as well as different clothing lines. Current accessory trends for the upcoming seasons include cat eye glasses or sunglasses, belt purses, and specific designer jewelry accessories for different overall looks or styles such as the biker look, the sophisticated 70’s look, or the loungerie look.

Cat eye glasses are making a comeback in the new spring and summer 2011 fashion trends. For the seasons the focus is on sunglasses; however, this same style in regular glasses is also acceptable. This style was predominate in the 50’s and 60’s fashion styles and is usually best suited for round or square face types. However, some variant of this style can be found for most people. Additionally, the cat eye glasses accessory can currently be used to complete your fashion look whether or not you actually require glasses.

The belt purse is also a new accessory for the spring and summer 2011 fashion trends. This accessory focuses on luxury fabrics particularly leather and can be used separately, attached to a belt, or as one complete piece continuously. This fashion trend is meant to be worn either with day attire or for evening looks. Additionally, it is meant to be worn higher on the waist as a small bag or with a flatter leather piece more on the hip with less functionality.

Finally, several accessories such as larger, rounded hats to complete that sophisticated 70’s look, or biker style jewelry are appearing that target specific styles rather than more universal looks. Whatever your fashion style, the perfect accessories complete the look and are often designed to compliment current fashion trends.

Personal care provides a foundation for your fashion-focus. Choose hair care, cosmetics and personal care services to maximize the seasonal fashion choices, accessories and colors. It’s an inexpensive way to get big fashion rewards. And after you are finished saving money, reward yourself with a nice accessory like some jewelry from JRDunn.com.

Safe and beautiful eyelash colors. If you’re looking for a way to wake up beautiful, ask your salon to apply vegetable color to your lashes. Choose navy blue or deepest blue-black to reflect one of this year’s favorite colors. If you prefer a natural look at work, or don’t like to drip mascara at the gym, you’ll love eyelash coloring. Costs for the treatment range from $10 to $20 at most salons.

Incredibly shiny hair. Before you think of how to style your hair, why not give it a healthy gloss of color and shine? Henna crème colors provide a major treat for your tresses. If you have a thick head of hair—or oily hair and scalp—

applying a henna powder pack makes a visible difference. If you’ve got dark hair, try adding herbal or black tea to the powder to intensify the color depth. At-home henna treatments cost $10 or less, or about $60 at the salon.

Sun-kissed skin. Foundation, depending on its consistency, can collect in skin’s tiny lines and may you look older. Choose a color-enhanced moisturizer instead of foundation, and you’ll love the results. Focus on keeping your skin clean, then add moisture-loving products to look like you’ve just returned from a ski trip or weekend getaway. Look like you spent a week in the south of France with a high quality self-tanner. Select a product with UVA and UVB protection if you really do plan to spend time in the sun. Buy your favorite product for $30 or less.

Don’t scrimp on your manicure. Manicured nails provide an easy way to show polish at the office or any time. Choose bright colors this season. Pale pink and French manicures are fine, but why not try a perfect blue-red or wild pink to pair with seasonal fashion? Do double-duty with your pedicure!

People of the global markets rely upon the media to “see” new fashion on their behalf. The most eager fashionistas may not physically attend fashion shows. Instead, they read the fashion news on their laptops or mobile devices, or watch the show in real time from the comfort of their home.

Technology speeds up the rate at which the images of fashions, accessories and designers’ views reach consumers. Instead of reading published seasonal fashion trends a few months’ before fashions reach the retail level, today’s consumer and retail buyer may see new merchandise around the same time. The media—through television, cable, computer, Internet, blogs and videos—shows potential buyers new ideas. Consumers then go forward to vote with their wallets.

Some fashion trends surprise the fashion industry. For example, a starlet taken to court wears a form-hugging mini dress. Within hours, the dress—for sale at $575—sells out in stores and online.

Similarly, a shade of lipstick worn by a famous White House intern sells out after the young woman mentions the name on tv.

Top designers attempt to bring “street fashion” to high fashion runways. Well-heeled customers decide whether these items sell out or end up in discount fashion stores.

In most ways, the media performs a valuable service to consumers of fashion. There’s less time between the evolution of a trend and the appearance of merchandise. There’s also less theorizing by retail buyers and vendors about “what the customer wants.”

According to authors Victor C. Strasburger, Barbara J. Wilson and Amy Beth Jordan of “Children, Adolescents and the Media,” pre-adolescents and teenagers remain most affected by media images. That’s the dark side of media’s presentation of fashion. The media portrays what the young viewer perceives as normal. She often compares her own body to these images.

More seasoned women understand the difference between idealized model images and their bodies.

According to author Ann Morris, in Shoes, Shoes, Shoes, American women buy and wear many pairs of shoes. The average woman owns at least ten pairs of shoes and many women, according to W Magazine, own many multiples of that! We love shoes, especially designer shoes that elongate legs and make a fashion statement regardless of what clothes we’re wearing!

Some basic tips to care for your shoes at home, according to Eddie’s Shoe Repair Inc. in midtown New York:

1. If your shoes get wet, make sure to let them dry naturally. Don’t place leather on or near radiators. Never store damp shoes because they can grow mold and discolor.

2. Use leather cleaner regularly. Clean your shoes after each wearing. If your shoes are harder leather, saddle soap is excellent to clean and protect the leather. Use creams for finer leathers. Treating a scuff or scratch with a color lighter than the base leather shade will camoflage it.

3. Use shoe tree to help organize and allow your shoes to air. Purchase the kind that hug each shoe, to help it retain shape. Also purchase shoe storage boxes or hanging shelves if you have ample overhead closet space. Avoid placing your shoes on the closet floor, where they may break or get dusty.

4. Pack your shoes with chamois cloth, tissue paper or old flannel. If you stuff open-toed shoes, they won’t curl up as much. Stuff the toe box area of all shoes to keep them in shape.

5. If you aren’t going to wear a pair of shoes or boots for a long while, wrap them in non-acid tissue. Make sure to cover large buckles or shoe ornaments with chamois to protect them from discoloration.

7. If you occasionally wear your shoes during rain or snow, consider application of a water-repellent treatment.

Author Harald Gruendl writes about “The Death of Fashion: The Passage Rite of Fashion in the Show Window.” Technology’s incontrovertible quickening of fashion trends has changed the retailer’s show window forever. Department store windows focus on story rather than fashion goods because, to some reviewers, technology has killed it.

Former ideas of fashion—over a year or season—go the way of dinosaurs when a combination of street, slash and couture meet. Fashion changes in the moment as video, blogs, viral marketing and a cool celebrity sighting create desire.

The ability of retailers to predict fashion trends has lessened with the push of multiple media influences. Multiple blogs report on runway shows, and each one presents a different view. Designer stills provide a neutral presentation of “the line,” but the interpretation of what the designer wants women to wear remains an art form.

That’s why the idea of classics: items women wear again and again, year after year, sells fashion now. “Updated” classics speak to the need for slight changes in a woman’s wardrobe. Not-so-subtle changes in color, fabric, patterns and texture speak to other fashion devotees about when the classic item was purchased.

Accessories purchases continue to show increased sales strength. Updating a classic wardrobe becomes easier and more cost-effective by changing the belt, scarf, handbag, hosiery, jewelry or hair ornaments worn. Changing cosmetics and personal care can change the perception of a person’s wardrobe. “Getting a makeover” creates an opportunity to assess personal strengths and weaknesses of face, form and function.

Fashion isn’t dead. Fashion is more fluid, function-focused and demanding than in years past. Women and men view fashion more similarly than ever before. High quality, truly classic items that serve the owner for years make the cut. Fashion and UFX Markets Trading business are greatly affected by the new technologies and provides more flexibility and ideas to the intending people.

Designers and retailers understand now as never before the importance of knowing their customer. Technology and the will of the customer to live in the “spirit of the age”—according to author Mike Easey in “Fashion Marketing”—requires more precise understanding of target markets.

Whatever you’re selling the target customer—it’s got to fit. Hours spent with the seamstress or tailor to custom-fit the garment are avoided like the proverbial plague. If your garment doesn’t fit, your customer will pass and select something that seems like it was made for her.

The price of the garment matters. Yes, really. Even well-heeled customers want value for their money. They will hunt around to find ways to not max out their prepaid credit cards or break their budget. They can—and do—shop a retail store to try on clothes for fit. A quick online search almost always saves the affluent customer money.

The comfort of the garment counts. Even if the customer laughs at the idea of comfort, she wants to wear clothes that feel good. She wants the material to “breathe.” She doesn’t want to wear undergarments that chafe and bind to look great in the garment. While she laughs at the idea of wearing comfortable flats, shoes that don’t hurt her feet matter. She buys them and wears ultra-high heels on special occasions.

The projected classic value of the garment sells. Your customer may wear the suit she buys today only once, but she’ll never admit it. She wants to buy classic clothes because she’s smart. She’s unimpressed by the habits of shopaholics. Her money manager told her to buy clothes that last.

The customer wants to be pampered. Small details make the buying experience more comfortable and palatable. Pre-selecting items for the customer to try on saves her time. Offering a light lunch to eat or take away saves her time. Combine pampering with time savings every time you can!

How your skin is treated today protects your skin’s health. Use sunscreen and moisturizer, don’t smoke, eat healthy and manage stress for the health and beauty of your body’s largest organ. It’s never too early, or too late, to take better care of your skin.

Healthy, glowing and blemish-free skin is beautiful. Skin is your body’s largest organ. How you care for yourself will show on your skin.

Robert Gilardetti, MD, who practices in Massachusetts and Rhode Island says “The key to healthy, beautiful skin is consistency. You would not expect a great build from working out every once in a while. Your skin requires rigorous training on a routine basis. A single facial or microdermabrasion will make your skin look better for a short time, but for optimal results, it takes a commitment to a routine.”

Medical doctors and researchers know protecting your skin from harmful UV exposure is crucial to the health of your skin. Also they provide instruction through online classes. Alissa Fox, M.D., a New Jersey dermatologist, says “Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen. You should use nothing below SPF 30, and use as high an SPF as possible, even as high as SPF 100, especially if you’re going to the beach. Avoid tanning salons.” Compare and buy ultra-sheer sunscreen for your skin.Dr. Fox recommends that men, women and children use sunscreen every day. “Use moisturizer. Skin needs moisture in winter, even if the same skin is moist in the summer. Skin exfoliates naturally,” says Dr. Fox.

Both doctors agree that smoking affects skin’s health. The best prescription for health skin is don’t smoke, eat healthy, drink water and get regular skin care. If your life contains too much stress, try to manage stress as much as you can.

If you haven’t visited Toronto, Canada lately, then you may not be aware that it now has a Fashion District. This area is growing rapidly, providing you with all sorts of shops and boutiques in which to buy clothing and jewelry, as well as restaurants and cafes to eat at. His historic hub is teeming with new business!

The Fashion District is notable not only for its up-and-coming status, but also because it was once the primary location for textile factories in Toronto. Some of the same buildings that once housed textile mills and manufacturing plants are now being renovated into boutiques and fashion houses, as well as other retail businesses.

In addition, some of the buildings are being renovated into residential loft buildings. These buildings let you live in an area of Toronto that is rapidly becoming more popular and the “in” place to be. And, with the addition of restaurants and cafes, you don’t have to go far from your new home to find good food to enjoy. Canada 411 can give you all the information you need on restaurants and cafes, as well as residential loft information.

Some of the buildings in this historic district still house textile manufacturers. These businesses sell directly to customers. You can utilize Canada 411 to find out which businesses are located in the district and which ones offer direct sales.

When you visit the Fashion District, whether as a tourist, as a business person who is also in the fashion industry, or as someone who is looking for a place to live and would like to consider the residential lofts, you will be thrilled with the lively feel of this revitalized town. Toronto has something to offer everyone, and with fabulous shopping opportunities and eateries dotting the city, you will be sure to find a host of enjoyable ways to spend your stay.

The sun’s rays, both UVA and UVA, cause skin damage. Dermatologists and researchers urge you to buy, and use, sunscreen products. Discuss the kinds of sunscreens you should apply to childrens’ skin. Sunscreen is for the entire family.

Alissa Fox, M.D., a dermatologist in New Jersey, says “The very best advice I can give anyone is–stay out of the sun. Use sunscreen. Use nothing below SPF 30, go to SPF 45 or higher when in the sun.” Asking what SPF numbers mean, Dr. Fox explains “SPF numbers, as they appear on products, are experimentally calculated by indoor tests, simulating the light spectrum. The level of light that creates redness in skin protected by sunscreen, divided by the amount of sunlight that causes redness in skin without use of it, defines SPF. Reapply sunscreen often.”

Cosmetics may already contain a low SPF sunscreen. To protect your skin every day, start with a moisturizer with a minimum SPF 30. Then apply your cosmetics. If you remove your makeup after work, reapply the light moisturizer prior to going outdoors for maximum protection.

Sun-protective clothes add extra sun protection insurance for the most photo-sensitive adults and children. Some clothing lines have received the approval of the American Cancer society!

Many believe an SPF 100 allows you to stay out in the sun 100X times longer without burning. SPF measures the impact of UVB rays in sunlight on unprotected skin. UVA rays also affect skin.

Use sunscreen to prevent skin damage in children. Parents should discuss which products will work best for their children with their pediatrician. Dr. Fox says “Men should also wear sunscreen every day. There are light, non-greasy products available that are great.”

As the body’s largest organ system, skin deserves maximum protection throughout the year. The sun’s rays continue to interact with your skin even during autumn and winter seasons.

The 2011 Golden Globes featured stunning outfits and sparkling jewels on the celebrities who walked the red carpet at the event. One of the best-dressed stars was Catherine Zeta-Jones, who was outfitted in a strapless deep green gown by designer Monique Lhullier. She completed the look with dazzling diamond teardrop “Eliza” earrings by Van Cleef and Arpels, which had a unique design and reached almost to her shoulders.

Another best-dressed star was Claire Danes, who selected a peach Calvin Klein dress that beautifully coupled past and present fashion. She combined this look with a 1970s-style cuff bracelet adorned with diamonds that made her wrist sparkle, which was paired with subtle stud earrings. Kyra Sedgwick, star of the popular television series “The Closer,” proved that diamonds aren’t the only popular stone. She wore earrings laced with gold and turquoise. These paired well with her deep yellow Emilio Pucci gown.

Some of those who made the worst-dressed list included Julianne Moore, who wore a toga-style, bright pink, one-shouldered frock that did not complement her coloring or frame. However, the gold choker she wore, made by Bulgari and glittering with almost 80 carats, was quite stunning. Another star on the worst-dressed list was Sandra Bullock, who typically graces the best-dressed lists with her elegant fashion choices. At this show, however, she was outfitted in a Jenny Packham pale pink gown decorated with crystals. The color choice washed out her skin tone, and the length of her bangs and deep eye makeup did not pair well with the delicate gown. She did wear a beautiful diamond cuff, however, which was the hit of her red carpet appearance. The red carpet of the Golden Globes is always a venue for interesting and unique fashion choices, and the 2011 show certainly did not disappoint in that regard.
